Yard work

I got the hedges in front of the bay windows cut down Monday, to the ground! Jan was not a happy camper. Hey, they'll grow back. The city hauled away the debris the very next day! We had 10 bales of pine straw and a yard of pea gravel delivered this morning for the rose bed and the carport. We should have gotten 2 yards of gravel instead of one. Have to order another load soon. Jan's working the rest of this week (Thursday - Sunday), so she's cleaning house today. I'll spread the gravel & pine straw and cut the grass this afternoon and tomorrow.
We picked up some fresh veggies at Andy's yesterday (yummm). Our Marine is due in Friday night at midnight!! I don't know who's more excited, him or us (LOL). We have a lot of stuff crammed into the six full days he will be here. He'll be sleeping late and spending time with his hasher friends for sure. We want to eat at Top O the River with the usual gang and RagTime, maybe Cajun Steamer if time allows. He'll spend some time with Dad and maybe Hal & Ginger. The Marines are allowing 2 weeks leave before shipping out for Jordan in June but Aaron chose to come now for one week to be here for his birthday. Can't say I blame him, it's been almost a year since he was home last. He'll just vegge-out in San Diego and hold the fort down while most of the rest of the unit goes on leave in June.
Got his replacement phone paperwork sent off yesterday. Maybe the replacement will arrive while he's home next week, hope so. He's been busy on Flickr. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the pix!
