Aaron leaves for Jordan tomorrow, the 26th. His unit is flying from Camp Pendleton via March AFB in California direct to Germany then on to Jordan for one month of training with the Jordanian Army. Apparently, the Jordanians have started their own version of the Marines and have invited us over to show 'em how it's done US-style (training, billeting, resources, etc.). He says he will have two weekend liberties while he's there to take in the local scenery. Then he's back at Camp Pendleton until his six month sea-deployment late this year to Afghanistan with several ports of call between here and there.
He's excited to be sure and he'll see things in the Holy Lands others pay a ton-o-money to see, compliments of the Marine Corps. He'll have a bunch of pix to post. Can't wait too see 'em.
