Dennis and I got the riding mower fixed again this morning, a drive belt came off. Got all the grass cut. Enjoyed a nice day off today. Got my pistol permit renewed for another year.

The tree guys are coming Thursday to finish the tree project in the back yard. Gonna take down four trees (2 live, 2 dead), trim the rest, and finish cleaning up around the drainage ditch beside the house.

Several of the crew on Aaron's ship came down with the flu on their recent stop in Thailand. Because of the flu, their planned port call to Hong Kong was cancelled. They didn't want to run the risk of being the cause of a mini-flu epidemic in a Chinese city. Wouldn't go over very well toward fostering international relations. Soooooo, they're going to stop in Guam instead. The differences between Guam and Hong Kong are obvious.

The ship's company is not real happy with the decision, but you gotta do what the "boss" says (read President Obama). This will be a re-visit to Guam for them. That's where they went on the way over. Aaron picked up a sharkskin Gorgio Armani dress suit in Thailand and is sending it home.

Aaron's about 20 days away from San Diego and is planning on flying home on Sept 7 for about 5-6 days after he participates in a Trans-American hash run in Colorado with about 1,000 + other runners from North, Central, and South America. Sounds like a lot of fun for him.

Jan's got a Hattiesburg trip again this coming weekend. Dad had some problems swallowing and went to the VA last week for some tests. Supposed to get the results this week.

Been working on Aaron's family tree at www.ancestry.com and have gone back to 1814 so far, that's six generations. Got pix of the tombstones on the site as well. Aunt Francis is supposed to have a lot of information in that regard and I'm awaiting her response to my email for any new additions.
