Okinawa

We met Lea Ann, Mandi, Mike, Sophia, and Pat for supper on Saturday in Lincoln at R & B BBQ (in the old town section of Lincoln). Mandi and Mike leave this evening for a missionary trip to Okinawa, Japan for five years. Here's a link to the church they will be going to: http://www.baptistchurch.jp/ This trip is a part of Mike's doctoral dissertation in Theology. They will be in a very nice parsonage about 5 miles from the church. There is a huge US Marine presence on the island along with Navy and Air Force and it's very urbanized, well over a million people. Aaron's tour is about 1/2 over with in Jordan. We haven't heard anything from him since his last email when he arrived in up-country Jordan at the site of their exercises. He mentioned then he had not had a shower in four days and was smelling pretty raunchy.
The Carrolls got back from Russia on Friday. All was OK with them. I cancelled my membership at Gold's Gym and am going to the Hoover Rec instead with Jan and Nadine to workout.
