Phone & critters

The timing of sending the Treo phone to Aaron was perfect. His Blackjack II screen was broken at work last week, compliments of a wrench. The phone still works, but only 1/2 the screen lights up. He should have the Treo today or tomorrow.
I saw a "critter" at work the other day. Turned out to be a groundhog, Thanks go to Tony and Buster for the ID. It's the first one I've seen in the wild. This mountaintop I'm on has regular sighting of all manner of critters: deer and some turkey, etc. I'll get pix as soon as I see some.
Wall Street took a serious dump yesterday: 778 points! The worst one-day drop in history. Yikes! Congress voted down the $700 billion bailout plan & one of our local banks, Wachovia, was bought out by Citicorp. A very busy day to say the least. The stocks are rebounding today, 300 points so far. Hang on to your Confederate money, the South's gonna rise again (LOL).
The big empty "almost a hospital" on Hwy 280, in Birmingham city limits, was bought by Trinity yesterday to replace Baptist Monclair. The city of Irondale was not a happy camper.
Pat's supposed to come over this weekend. Her and Jan will probably spend the day at the the "Southern Womens Show" at the BJCC on Saturday. They'll be in hog heaven to be sure.

It's about time, Baptist Montclair has been around since Moses' time...Irondale will lose a lot of city income and jobs, though.
