The job with AT&T is 98% official. Had my drug test Monday and they are planning on getting me started in the April training class, YEAA! The training class is six weeks long & I'll be working out of the AT&T building on 6th Ave N downtown in the DSL tech support 24/7 call center. I'll essentially be helping AT&T's customers over the phone and live chats with setting up & troubleshooting their new or existing DSL service for Internet access. It's about 80% of what I was doing with AmSouth Bank for ten years before the merger (and subsequent downsizing) with Regions Bank.

I applied with Bellsouth about 20+ years ago just before the Ma-bell breakup into the baby-bells. All positions were frozen then due to the breakup. Well, Ma-bell is back stronger than before. It only took 20+ years to land the job. Perseverance has its rewards! LOL
