It's been awhile since I've blogged. Lots going on. Aaron has had several days of liberty in Dubai, finally, after over 90 days at sea. He's seen the world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai and shopped at the world's largest mall, the Dubai Mall. How cool is that!!
We're looking forward to meeting him in Hawaii in late July or early August. He's been busy while at sea. His ship was host to Captain Phillips after the Captain was rescued by Navy Seals from the pirates off the coast of Somalia.
His Sergeant, Sgt G, injured his shoulder and had to be shipped stateside for surgery. The Sgt left Aaron in charge of the unit for the balance of the deployment. Can you say, "promotion"? Aaron's been working out on board ship and it shows .
