Wildfire

Aaron's had an interesting last two days. The CA wildfires came WAY too close to his barracks and the base commander ordered an evacuation of the entire area. Aaron said the fire line had been halted about 50 yds from the barracks this morning. They weren't even allowed to go in for a change of clothes due to continuing hot spots in the area. The fire DID destroy the rear gate for his area of the base. He's bunking, along with several of his buddies, at a SSgt's house until they decide what else to do. So far, he hasn't lost any personal belongings but the fire's not out yet. He took several pix from his work site of the fire and smoke over at the barracks area. He's supposed to be leaving next week for 2-3 weeks of sea-duty training. Time will tell.
